Scott Leonard – Principal / Mechanical Engineering
Scott is an experienced product designer with a background in medical devices. While working as a Mechanical Designer at Deka Research and Development, Scott worked on home hemodialysis machines and ultra efficient water purification systems for the developing world. He holds several patents related to these systems. Scott earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University where he was the project leader for the solar vehicle team and studied alternative energy solutions.
Matthew Harris – Principal / Industrial Design
Matt recently held the position of Lead Industrial Designer at Deka Research and Development. Matt has experience designing and building marketable products around proprietary technologies. He specializes in product usability, ergonomics and aesthetics. He provided design expertise on projects in the fields of haemo and peritoneal dialysis, diabetes care, surgical devices/implants, medical diagnostics, water purification and Stirling engine power generation. Matt earned his degree in Industrial Design from The Ohio State University.
Ajay Patel – Associate Engineer / Mechanical Design
Ajay is currently acquiring an array of skills from industrial design techniques to CAD expertise. In the coming years, he hopes to complement these skills with aesthetic and ergonomic design capabilities, as well as engineering analysis knowledge such as FEA. Ajay earned his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and his masters degree, also in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
